Native Nations Education Foundation (NNEF) Founded in 2002, NNEF is a global nonprofit organization, dedicated to serving indigenous people through advocacy, education, information, service and volunteer efforts. In Hawai‘i, Native Nations is focused on creating and supporting diverse educational opportunities for Native Hawaiians. Native Nations has developed this project for a Community-Based Learning Center to meet the needs of the Native Hawaiian families in urban Honolulu, particularly the Kalihi/Pālama District, a weed-and-seed designated area of Honolulu.
